Censorship Agecertifcates are supplied by the British board of film classification (BBFC) the purpose of the certificates are to show a guideline of what age the film is appropiate for and if they are not allowed to watch the film unless they fufill the age requirement , or are with thier parents or guardian.

: This symbol represents Parental guidance , this means it can be suitable for children however parental guidance is reccomend as some of the scenes may effect the viewer. An example a PG film is the incrediables , this is a pg and it contains fight scenes without showing gore.
: this suggest this film is unsuitable for children , however 12a means that you are legally allowed to view this film if you are accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 , an example of a 12a is spiderman
: the rating of 12 describes 12 years of age or over only , these films conventional contain a sense of violence or drug abuse but not as a main theme, an example of a 12 is james camerons ' avatar which features scenes of violence although not on a large scale.
: 15 reprsents only 15 or over , these films contain use of drugs , acholol , biolence and som escenes of sexual nature an example of a 15 film is the hangover which bases it narrative around the theme of acholol.
!8 means that anyone 18 or over can watch this film. 18 rated films contain a excessive amount of sexaul scenes , drugs and violence , an example of this is Pul Fiction
18r - this is mainly used in porngarphic scenes and are completely unsuitable for anyone under this age.
From judging other thriller films in terms of censorship , i have came to a judgement that my thriller film should rated under the cenorship of 15 this is due to the facts that there is no direct views of blood or anything that viewrs mat find upsetting , furthermore it only has refercnes to violence and scenes of sexual acts without displaying therefore i think this rating would be apprioate for it.
