StoryBoard .. ( Updated - with orginal storyboards )

Storyboard

A storyboard is used to set out and plan the scenes , this helps as it sets out the scenes in a chronologilocal order , and holds information such as props , locations and elements needed in the scene. Storyboards can be wriiten or illustrated , which can contain a short description of the scene via a short narrative paragraph , or there can be a collection of images that portray what is happening in the scene and the direction of the scene.

Storyboards are also effective as they can allow you to produce a more detailed narrative. My group porduced a hand developed orginal storyboard in order to create a basic and raw narrative , our orginal storyboards consisted of the following :
Storyboard 1

                                                                          Storyboard 2

Storyboard 3

Storyboard 4

Storyboard 5

Storyboard 6

Our storyboard was planned out by using a collection of images that portray where the scene location is , then we wrote a description of the scene below ; the storyboard planner held information such as cinematographys which included which camera shots were used in the scene. Location which includes where the scene is held , props include the incongrapghy which describes the items that are used within the scene. Lighting which is what source of light is going to be used , the actors used in the scene are who play the characters , dialogue is the speech used in the scene.

                                                                     1st Storyboard -

2nd Storyboard -

 3rd Storyboard -

4th Storyboard -

5th Storyboard -

                                                                 6th storyboard

Storyboards are important as they allow the director and cameraman to follow the plan of the film and allow the cameraman to know what camera shots he/she has to shoot in order to fufill the directors idea and therefore make the scene effective.

  1. Some good information here. To improve the post, you need to state the importance of a storyboard, and why it is important in planning a film in the industry. You should also comment on some of the ideas you have for your storyboard as this is the planning stage of your production.

  2. Great work Harry, well done. There is clear evidence of your planning stage and this post also clearly demonstrates your development in ideas.

To improve; end the post with how the initial hand drawn storyboard has helped you in the planning of your shoot, and how your ideas have developed to your photographic storyboard.
